Diverging Diamond Interchange

What you see above is the “diverging diamond,” a freeway-and-surface-street interchange system that reduces the number of conflict points and, in theory, traffic delays, by having drivers switch to the left-hand side of the road temporarily. It’s a French innovation, but it’s starting to catch on in the states.

Hiding the Lockheed Plant during World War II

During WW II Lockheed (unbelievable 1940′s pictures). This is a version of special effects during the 1940′s. I have never seen these pictures or knew that they had gone this far to protect themselves. During World War II the Army Corps of Engineers needed to hide the Lockheed Burbank Aircraft Plant to protect it from a possible Japanese air attack. They covered it with camouflage netting to make it look like a rural subdivision from the air.

Audi car made of PAPER

Taras Lesko was commissioned by Audi to make a detailed papercraft model of the 2012 Audi A7.

Paper car was created out of 750 unique parts. Each part was printed and assembled using reference photography and A7 blueprints.

It took 245 hours and 285 sheets of paper to finish the project.

Awesome 3D Sculpture made from thousands of photographs

From a distance these sculptures look like ceramics, but when you take a step closer you will find out that it is pure illusion. The unique and alive 3D sculptures are made out of many photographs of the original subjects.  The creator, a Korean sculptor Gwon Osang, has been one of the most recognized contemporary artists in Korea for his non-conventional approach to sculpture.
